
Biography

Felipe has quickly risen as a distinguished artist on the international stage, garnering numerous accolades such as 2nd Prize in the Piano Solo category and Best Portuguese Duo in the Piano-Duo Category at the VII Sardoal Young Talent Award, along with the 2nd Prize at the Prof. Dichler-Competition 2022 in Vienna.
With performances spanning Europe and South America, including Germany, Austria, Portugal, Brazil, Bolivia, Hungary and Belgium, Felipe’s concert appearances are celebrated for their technical brilliance and emotional depth.
Felipe has had the honor of performing for and learning from world-renowned artists, including Nikolai Lugansky, Sergio Tiempo, Lang Lang, Julien Libeer, Oleg Marshev, Makoto Ueno, and Peter Lang, experiences that have further enriched his musical voice.
Recently, he performed with the Cluster Philharmonie in Belgium, part of a benefit concert to support Brazilian flood victims, exemplifies his belief in the power of music to make a positive impact.


He currently lives in Belgium, where he completed his master’s degree at the LUCA School of Arts under the guidance of the pianist Sylvia Thereza. Prior to that, he completed his bachelor’s degree at the Hochschule für Musik Karlsruhe in Germany, where he studied with Kaya Han. His musical education was also deeply influenced by Claudio Dauelsberg in Brazil and Manuel Araújo in Portugal, teachers who played an essential role in shaping his musical identity.
He has performed in prestigious venues, and his collaborations extend beyond classical boundaries, including his work with Brazilian singer Antonia Medeiros on the composition and arrangement of "Ao Teu Lado", which highlights his versatility and creativity as a musician.
Felipe served as curator, organizer, and teacher of the festival “O piano em discurso sonoro”, held in Portugal in 2025. The event brought together professors for masterclasses, as well as a number of active and passive participants, and included recitals by both faculty and students.
Alongside Portuguese pianist Catarina Madeira, they form the Duo Madeira/Novellino that has been performing regularly across Belgium, Portugal, and Austria, building a reputation as a promising young ensemble in the piano four-hands and two-piano repertoire.
